Facilitated by Jean Franzblau
During this hands-on workshop, the class will team up, write a script, shoot a video, narrate a PowerPoint presentation and learn basic editing skills using the software Camtasia.
The class will open with an interactive demo and Q & A. The group will then be split into teams. Teams will be given short assignments and regularly regroup for feedback and problem solving.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have experience with each phase of the development of a training video and be empowered to take these skills back to the office on Monday.
Who Should Attend?
- Those with no experience or limited experience with video
- Those new to or with limited experience using Camtasia
Suggested Requirements:
- Laptop (not mandatory)
- Flip Camera, Sony Bloggie or iPhone (not mandatory)
- Basic PC or Mac skills
- A link will be provided to download a trial version of Camtasia in your registration confirmation email.
- Participants will need to review at least five tutorials for Camtasia. They can choose any five topics that are of interest. Links will be provided in your registration confirmation email.
About the presenter: Jean Franzblau is a professional speaker with twelve years of training and coaching experience. She has presented in six countries for up to three hundred people. Last year Jean completed fourteen months with YogaWorks where she created over twenty videos on the fly and on a budget. In her freelance business, Jean delivers training, instructional design and video production services. She has worked in industries including education, hospitality, healthcare, real estate, nonprofit, law and financial services. Jean received her B.A. with cum laude honors at UCLA in Communications and Business Administration. She completed the Train the Trainer course with ASTD-LA and served on the Board for two years.
